For recurring dialysis appointments
Suitable for regular dialysis rides with a fixed weekly schedule, as well as individual journeys, for example for short-notice or out-of-town treatment appointments.
Journeys with a medical transport prescription
We provide journeys to dialysis, provided a prescription for medical transport (transport form) from your doctor is available. As dialysis treatment usually takes place several times a week at the same appointment, we set up your journeys as a fixed, recurring schedule instead of planning each journey individually. For such a series of journeys, prior approval from your health insurer is required in addition to the prescription. Whether and to what extent your health insurer covers the cost is best clarified directly with your insurer in advance.
At a glance
For dialysis rides we need the completed prescription (transport form) from your doctor as well as your treatment schedule (days and times). From this we set up a fixed schedule that runs punctually for every dialysis appointment.
What you should know
Suitable for regular dialysis rides with a fixed weekly schedule, as well as individual journeys, for example for short-notice or out-of-town treatment appointments.
If your dialysis centre changes your treatment schedule permanently – different days, different times or a different centre – we adjust the fixed schedule accordingly as soon as we have the new appointments. If your prescription expires, please obtain the follow-up prescription yourself – we support you with this, and your practice or clinic will usually help too. Your journeys continue in the meantime.
Statutory-insured patients pay a co-payment of 10% of the journey cost, at least €5 and at most €10 per journey, unless they hold a co-payment exemption (please show proof to the driver). If a fare is less than €5, you pay no more than the fare itself. For a series of journeys, the co-payment applies only to the first outbound trip and the last return trip, not to every single journey in between. Privately insured patients pay for the journeys themselves first and submit the receipt to their insurer for reimbursement.
Booking process
Your doctor issues the prescription for medical transport (transport form) for your dialysis rides.
You share your treatment schedule with us (dialysis centre, days, times) and the prescription. We set this up as a fixed, recurring schedule.
We collect you punctually for every appointment and take you to dialysis, and back again afterwards if needed.
Statutory-insured: we bill your insurer directly. Privately insured: reimbursement through your own insurer.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Fixed dialysis rides, for example three times a week to the same dialysis centre, are set up as a recurring schedule so you don't need to arrange every single journey yourself.
We are generally flexible about appointment changes. Please let us know at least 12 hours in advance, ideally 24 hours, so we can adjust that individual journey within the fixed schedule. The rest of the recurring schedule remains unaffected.
Your journeys continue for the time being – there is no fixed deadline after which we stop them. We support you in obtaining the follow-up prescription, and your practice or clinic will usually help too. If your health insurer approves the journeys retrospectively, we bill them as usual. If approval does not come through, we invoice you for the journeys made in the meantime. You can therefore pause the journeys at any time if you do not want to carry that risk.
For statutory-insured patients, we bill the entire series of journeys based on your prescription, sometimes monthly instead of for the whole series at once. Privately insured patients pay for the journeys themselves first and submit the receipt to their insurer for reimbursement.
